Ms McCormick and Green Schools Co-ordinator Ms. Redden attended the ceremony accompanied by three members of the Green Schools Committee, who accepted the green flag on behalf of the school.
This is the first green flag for Saint Mary's PPS which was awarded for the 'Energy' theme. Over the past two years pupils, teachers and parents have been learning about reducing energy consumption and increasing their awareness of energy conservation. It was challenging as it the first time we had to deliver our message to over 1000 pupils. With the help of many teachers such as Mr Ó Maoláin, Ms Briscoe, Ms Kelleher, Ms Dolan, Ms Quinn and Ms Hunt, we were successful! Thank you to the Green Schools Committee and all involved.
